Add 10 chains

Step 7
Edges, buttons, and buttonholes
Work sc for all the edges.
Sew buttons making 7 rows intervals between each button or as desired.
Work 9** chains for each buttonhole making 7 rows intervals between each buttonhole as well.
** the number might vary depending on the size of the chosen buttons.
Planning point.
If it is necessary to adjust the crochet project to a different size, plan ahead how many pineapples you need to work to make the width accordingly to your chest circumference.

Hi SSeaman18,

Hi SSeaman18,
I would advise you to crochet 3 pineapples (PAs) for the first front part, skip 3 PAs for the 1st sleeve, work 6 PAs for the back part, skip 3 PAs for the 2nd sleeve, and finish crocheting the 3 last PAs. If that is not going to work (it will be still small), then frog off few rounds and crochet them again using a larger size crochet hook to make the garment wider. Happy crocheting!

Hi Despina65,

Hi Despina65,
To adjust the pattern to size XL, please read my comment to gwen4936 on the first page. If you decide that your neckline is wide, you may work edges decreasing some chains.Check your gauge before starting the project. Happy crochet!

Hi Rohini majella,

Hi Rohini majella,
It is hard to say from the picture, but it looks like your one repeat/pineapple is about 4.5 inches. If that is correct, then you may follow the pattern exactly. Happy crochet!

Thanks for your response Sana

Thanks for your response Sana. Im working on the crochet lace cardigan pattern. I was able to check if the neck fit as i did two rows. At what point in this pattern can i check the neck fit.
