Repeat the pattern starting from the 1st round
Step 7
Edges, buttons, and buttonholes
Work sc for all the edges.
Sew buttons making 7 rows intervals between each button or as desired.
Work 9** chains for each buttonhole making 7 rows intervals between each buttonhole as well.
** the number might vary depending on the size of the chosen buttons.
Planning point.
If it is necessary to adjust the crochet project to a different size, plan ahead how many pineapples you need to work to make the width accordingly to your chest circumference.

Hi SSeaman18,
Hi SSeaman18,
You may watch the video (Part 1) starting from about 11:11 to see how the end of the 3rd row should look like and/or attach a picture of your 3rd row. Please take a photo of the end part only to get a closer look of the 3rd row. That way it will be easier for me to see your chains. Thank you.

Thank you for attaching the
Thank you for attaching the picture. I see that you did not work trc6 into V-stitch ([dc1, ch1, dc1] into one chain) similar to what was in your previous picture. I would advise you to crochet a small piece/sample again as you did to learn your gauge. It is important to do so to get the pattern right and get the feel of your chains. If you get one repeat of the pattern right, then you'll do all other repeats too.

Hi Sana I am having a lot of problems. I had to start this pattern several times. I have done 21 rows but I have 15 pineapples . I started with 104 chs + 1 ch on hook. I made 12 pineapples but now I ended up with 15 pineapples. If I join front and back I will have 5 pineapples for back and 4 for front. Can I still carry on?

Hi SSeaman18,
Hi SSeaman18,
Thanks for the good question. Yes, you may carry on. I also had the same number of pineapples/repeats at that point. Please watch the video starting from about 32:27. You will still work the increase for 2 more rows (step 4: 23rd - 24th rows) to have 2.5 repeats for each front piece. I do not see your work, but believe that you are one the right track. Happy crocheting!

Hi Sana you look lovely in yr picture. May I ask where are you from. I crocheted the cardigan up to the bit where I joined the front and back but when I tried it on it was too tight so I started all over and added 2 more pineapples. I hope this works.

Hi Sana I crocheted 21 rows
Hi Sana I crocheted 21 rows and had 4 pineapples each for the shoulder and 5 each for back and front. When I tried it on the front was too small. How many chs do I need to start with to have 20 pineapples?
