Hi Incarnatelove77,
Hi Incarnatelove77,
I would advise you to practice the pattern first. Make a foundation chain of 21 chs (16 + 5) and repeat the 2 rows of the pattern (step 1) few times. That way you will not only get comfortable with the stitch, but can estimate the needed number of repeats for your size. Happy crochet!

Thank you! I will try that.
Thank you! I will try that. It seems to look better every time!

Hi Jumana Fawmi,
Hi Jumana Fawmi,
For your size, I would make a foundation chain of 197 chs (16 x 12) + 5 to work 12 repeats. Then I'd crochet 3 repeats for each front part and 6 repeats for the back part. Happy crochet!

Hi I’m making this cardigan
Hi I’m making this cardigan right now with a foundation chain of 181.... do I just follow parttern as per your instruction for a smaller one?

Hi Candy carvalho,
Hi Candy carvalho,
I would suggest to start with 197 chs to work 12 repeats. Use a smaller size crochet hook to adjust your gauge if necessary. The other option is to use a larger size crochet hook and work 10 repeats. You may crochet 11 repeats (181 chs), but work 2 repeats for each front part, 5 repeats for the back part, and skip one repeat under each arm. Happy crochet!

Sana i read all the comments
Sana i read all the comments and your responses. I wonder its only me who is getting trouble in making the design rightly. when i do single crochet row 2 and turn the work. my ripples in row three aren't coming properly.
Also the combo of 1 is not coming right. 2 stitches for trc, then 13 for skip chain and 1 trc... makes 1 in total instead of 1...what is my mistake?

Hi Mtaseer1,
Hi Mtaseer1,
Please attach the picture of your work (as close as possible) so I can see your mistake. I always advise to practice the pattern on a small sample before starting the big project. It is easier to see and fix mistakes (if any) on a small piece rather than on a big one. In addition, it helps you to know your gauge so you can estimate the number of repeats you need to work for your size. Happy crochet!

Hello Sana
Hello Sana
Please can you tell me if I am doing this correctly. I have made a foundation chain of 133, plus 5 chains for a size Medium using a size 4.5mm crochet hook. Also what does h#ch mean? I am not sure what the # sign refers to. Please explain. Thank you

Hello SSeaman18,
Hello SSeaman18,
I would advise you to work a small sample to know your gauge or adjust it to about one repeat equal 4.5 inches for the size Medium. You may use any size crochet hook or use a thicker yarn to get that gauge. # is a number like 2 or 4. Happy crochet!
