Crochet pullover sweater. Summer blouse crochet pattern.

Step-by-step crochet instructions

Part 1 video tutorial

Begin crocheting each half of the blouse from the bottom to top.

First half of the summer top

Make a foundation chain of 93 chs for each half of the summer top or multiples of 22 chs plus 5 additional chs.
1st row (right side) – h5ch, dc to end + RC5
2nd row (wrong side) – h8ch, trc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, sc7, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, (ch1, sk1, trc1) x 2, [ch1, sk1, trc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, sc7, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, (ch1, sk1, trc1) x 2] to end + RC3
3rd row – h5ch, dc to end + RC1
4th row – h2ch, sc1, [sc4, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, (ch1, sk1, trc1) x 3, ch1, sk1, dc1, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, sc3] to end + RC3
Repeat the pattern starting from the 1st row until you crochet 12 rows. Then continue crocheting the 4 rows of the pattern using a smaller size crochet hook for the following 16 rows. After that, work the next 12 rows using a larger size crochet hook again to widen the garment.

Increase

41st row – h4ch, dc to last 1ch; dc2 into 1ch + RC3
42nd row – h5ch, trc1, [ch1, sk1, trc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, sc7, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, (ch1, sk1, trc1) x 2] to last 1ch; trc1 + RC3
43rd row = 3rd row
44th row – h2ch, sc3, [sc3, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, dc1, (ch1, sk1, trc1) x 3, ch1, sk1, dc1, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, sc4] to end + RC3
45th row – h5ch, dc to end + RC3
Repeat the pattern starting from the 42nd row.

Shoulder part

Use one repeat to crochet each shoulder piece.
53rd row – h5ch, dc24 + RC3
54th row = 42nd row
55th row = 3rd row
56th row = 44th row
57th row = 53rd row
58th row = 42nd row
59th row – h5ch, dc to end
Slip stitch down to 53rd row.
53rd row – dc1 above sc ch of prev.row, [ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, sc9, ch1, sk1, hdc1, ch1, sk1, dc7] to last 21 chs; dc21 + RC3
54 – 59 rows = 54 – 59 rows of the first shoulder part

Second half of the summer top

Work the second half of the top as the first half, but crochet 56 long rows and 3 short shoulder rows.

Join shoulder pieces together

60th row – insert hook into 1st ch of opposite shoulder piece, grab the yarn and pull it through, sc5 using bl on one side and fl on the other side, ch1, sk1 on each side, make loop1 on each side, grab the yarn and pull it through the 3 loops on the hook, (ch1, sk1 on each side, unfinished dc on each side, draw the yarn through 3 loops) x 5, ch1, sk1 on each side, make loop1 on each side, grab the yarn and pull it through the 3 loops, ch1, sk1 on each side, sc4
Slip stich down to 57th row.
57th row = 53rd row of the front part
Then work 2 more shoulder rows and join 2 shoulder pieces together (60th row).

Hi Luz,

Hi Luz,
Thank you for sharing your work with us and modeling it. I appreciate it. Probably because of we had different gauge, your sleeves look wide. You may fix it by working sc or dc decreasing some sts. Just a suggestion. Happy crochet!

Hi Sana, I did some sc

Hi Sana, I did some sc decreasing on the sleeves then I sew some chains on underarm to make my sleeves narrow. It looks better now. Thanks.

Hello mam.... I want to make

Hello mam.... I want to make this garment on cotton thread and my bust size is 39 so kindly suggest me the no. Of chains and also how can I get the perfect body fitting shape ...... thanks

Hi Minakshi,

Hi Minakshi,
I would advise you to practice your gauge/tension on a small piece before starting the big one. If you adjust your gauge to one repeat equals about 4.9 inches, you may follow the pattern exactly. Happy crochet!

Hi Sana,

Hi Sana,
I love your work alot and have made tops already. Can i suggest something? Can you please write out measurements for M/L/XL in advance? As you are always writing for S. It will be so much better if you just write out in your tutorial than in the question part.

Hi Rosy,

Hi Rosy,
I'm glad that you like my work. Thank you for the suggestion. Happy crochet!

Hi Oorja,

Hi Oorja,
I would use a larger size crochet hook to adjust my gauge to one repeat =4.75 inches. The other option is to add one chain to the beginning and ending of a row. If you choose the second option, it will be necessary to adjust the pattern. Happy crochet!
