Part 1
Begin crocheting from the top to bottom.
Make a foundation chain of 50 chs or multiples of 6 chs plus 14 additional chs.
Increase
The repeat for the first row is [dc5, ch1, sk1]. To adjust the size, work more repeats between corners.
1st row – h3ch, dc1, (ch1, sk1, [dc5, ch1, sk1], Vst1) x 2, ch1, sk1, dc5, (ch1, sk1, [dc5, ch1, sk1], Vst1) x 2, ch1, sk1, [dc5, ch1, sk1], dc2 into 1ch + RC1
For the second row, work sc above dc of prev.row
2nd row – h2ch, sc2, (ch1, sk1, [sc5, ch1, sk1], corner1*) x 2, ch1, sk1, sc5, (ch1, sk1, [sc5, ch1, sk1], corner1*) x 2, ch1, sk1, sc5, ch1, sk1, sc2 + RC2
* corner - sc1 above 1st dc of Vst of prev.row, Vst1 under one ch., sc1 above 2nd dc of Vst of prev.row
3rd row – h4ch, dc1, (ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1, dc2, Vst1 under 1ch, dc2) x 2, ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, (ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1, dc2, Vst1 under 1ch, dc2) x 2, ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1, dc2 + RC1
4th row - h2ch, sc2, (ch1, sk1, [sc5, ch1, sk1], sc3, Vst1 under 1ch., sc3) x 2, ch1, sk1, sc5, (ch1, sk1, [sc5, ch1, sk1], sc3, Vst1 under 1ch., sc3) x 2, ch1, sk1, sc5, ch1, sk1, sc2 + RC2
Part 2
5th row – h4ch, dc2 into 1ch, (ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1, dc4, Vst1 under 1ch, dc4) x 2, ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, (ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1, dc4, Vst1 under 1ch, dc4) x 2, ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1, dc2 into 1ch, dc1 + RC1

7th row – h4ch, dc2, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 2, ch1, sk1, Vst1 under 1ch, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 3, ch1, sk1, Vst1 under 1ch, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 4, ch1, sk1, Vst1 under 1ch, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 3, ch1, sk1, Vst1 under 1ch, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 2, ch1, sk1, dc3 + RC1
Repeat the pattern starting from the row 2 working more repeats between corners/Vsts. The row 5 will not have increase at the beginning and end of the row.

Continue working increase rows until the back and front parts will be wide enough for the chest circumference.
Join back and front parts
9th row – h4ch, dc2, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 2, ch1, sk1, dc2, unfinished trc1 into Vst, skip shoulder part, unfinished trc1 into Vst, dc2, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 4, ch1, sk1, dc2, unfinished trc1 intoVst, skip shoulder part, unfinished trc1 into Vst, dc2, [ch1, sk1, fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1] x 2, ch1, sk1, dc3 + RC1
Use a larger size crochet hook to widen the garment.
Work rows without increasing chs.
10th row – h2ch, sc3, ch1, sk1, [sc5, ch1, sk1] to last 3chs; sc3 + RC2
11th row – h4ch, dc2, ch1, sk1, [fp dtrc 1, dc3, fp trdc 1, ch1, sk1] to last 3 chs; dc3 + RC1
Alternate the 10th and 11th rows for about 8 rows.
Widen the garment.
18th row – h2ch, sc3, ch2, sk1, [sc5, ch2, sk1] to last 3chs; sc3 + RC2

Alternate 19th and 20th rows until you crochet the desired length of the cardigan.

Attach the yarn under arm.
1st row – sc to end + ch1
2nd row – h2ch, reverse sc to end + sl.st.1
Cut the yarn and secure it.
Work the two edge rows for the second sleeve and the body.

Hi redjewel,
Hi redjewel,
Yes, this is my daughter. I'm glad that you liked the cardigan. To adjust the size, pause the video at about 4:10 to see the pattern's chart with more repeats between corners. Work increase rows until your back and front parts will be wide enough to your chest circumference. Happy crochet!
