Step-by-step crochet instructions
Step 1
For a foundation chain create any number of multiples of 4 chains plus 1 additional chain. Count all the loops including the loop on your hook.
Step 2
1st row (right side) – insert a hook into the 4th ch. from your hook, dc1, [ch1, sk1, dc1] to end plus RC2
2nd row (wrong side) – insert your hook into the 3rd ch. from the hook, CL*1, [ch2, sk1, sc1, ch2, sk1, CL1] to end plus RC1
3rd row (right side) – [ch5, insert the hook into the 3rd ch. from your hook, sc1, ch2, sk5, (sc1, ch3, sc1) into the same base chain] to last repeat. At the end of the last repeat, work just sc1.
Cut the yarn and secure it.
Step 3
Fringe – put two cartons together, wrap the yarn around it, and cut it between cartons from one side.
Attach two pieces of yarn to each arch of three chains. For that, insert a hook from the wrong side of the border into each arch of the three chains, grab the yarns, and pull it through. Then draw the yarns again through just created loop and pull it tight. You should have a tassel of four strands.
After that, take two strands of yarn from each of the 2 neighboring tassels and tie them into a knot. Trim the ends if necessary.
