Part 1
To make the blouse, crochet two squares. Begin crocheting each square with one shell, and then gradually add more shells. Make a foundation of 7 chs to crochet the first shell.

First shell
1st row – h6ch, [trc1, (ch1, trc1) x 3] into 1ch + RC1
2nd row – h2ch, sc9 + RC5
3rd row – h7ch, trc1, (ch1, trc1) x 7 + RC2
4th row – [dc1 under ch, dc1] to end

Add shells
5th row - h6ch, [trc1, (ch1, trc1) x 3] into 1ch, ch1, sk4, sl.st.1, (ch3, sk2, sl.st.1) x 2, ch1, sk4, trc1, (ch1, trc1) x 4] into 1ch + RC1
6th row – h2ch, sc9, ch1, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs, ch3, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs, sc1 above 1st trc of previous row (2nd shell), sc8 + RC5
7th row - h7ch, trc1, (ch1, trc1) x 7, ch1, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs, ch1, trc1 above 1st trc of one row before previous row (2nd shell), [ch1, trc] x 8 + RC2
8th row - [dc1 under ch, dc1] x 7, dc1 under ch, dc dec1 to end, dc15 + RC5
Repeat the pattern starting from the row 5 adding more shells.

Part 2
After you crochet 10 shells or the length of one side will be about half of your chest circumference, begin gradually decreasing the number of shells.

Decrease
1st row – h2ch, sl.st.1, (ch1, sk1, sl.st.1) x 2, [(ch3, sk2, sl.st.1) x 2, ch1, sk4, (trc1, ch1) x 5, sk4, sl.st.1] to end; ch3, sk2, sl.st.1, ch1, sk2, dc1
2nd row – [ch3, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs, ch1, sc9 above 5trcs, ch1, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs] to end; ch1, dc1 into 2nd/middle chain of last arch of 3chs
3rd row – [ch1, (trc1, ch1) x 9 above sc9 of prev.row, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs] to end; trc1 into last chain of 1st decrease row + RC1
4th row – ch1, dc17, [dc dec1, dc 15] to end; unfinished dc1 above last trc, unfinished trc1 under arch of 3chs, then draw yarn through all 3 loops on your hook.
5th row = 1st row
6th row = 2nd row
7th row - [ch1, (trc1, ch1) x 9 above sc9 of prev.row, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs] to end; trc1 into next chain of 1st decrease row + RC1
Repeat the pattern starting from the 4th row until you have one last shell.

Last shell
1st row = 1st row (decrease)
2nd row = 2nd row (decrease)
3rd row - [ch1, (trc1, ch1) x 3, trc3, ch1, (trc1, ch1) x 3, sl.st.1 under arch of 3chs, trc1 into next chain of 1st decrease row
4th row – sl.st.1, (ch1, sk1, sc1) x 2, sc1, hdc1, dc dec above 3 middle trcs

Top part
After you crochet one square, ch3 to pick up the height and work triple crochets to end of one side + RC1.

First shoulder part
1st row – h2ch, sc3, hdc3, dc3, trc2, trc dec1 + RC3
2nd row – h5ch, trc2, dc3, hdc3, sc2, sl.st.1

Second shoulder part
Attach the yarn 12 chs before the end of the trc row. Make 2chs to pick up the height.
1st row – trc3, dc3, hdc3, sc3 + RC1
2nd row – h2ch, sl.st.1, sc2, hdc3, dc3, trc3
Join shoulder parts on the wrong side of the garment. Continue working the pattern joining two shoulder parts together.

Neckline
Work dc round decreasing 4 chs in each corner. Then work sc round decreasing chs in each corner.

Bottom edge
Work trc round, dc round, and sc round.

Sleeves
Work sc round around each sleeve.

Hi Sana, I would like to make this for me. If I use with size 3 light yarn with 3.5 mm hook , should I follow same as your ? Pls advise and thank you.

Hi Luz,

Hi Luz,
You may use any size hook or yarn. It is necessary to work increase rows until one side will be about as wide as half of your chest circumference. Happy crochet!

4th row – ch1, dc17, [dc dec1, dc 15] to end; unfinished dc1 above last trc, unfinished trc1 under arch of 3chs, then draw yarn through all 3 loops on your hook.
What do you mean by unfinished trc1 under arch of 3chs.Pls. advise.

Hi Luz,

Hi Luz,
I suggest watching the second part of the video tutorial starting from about 5:17 to see how I did the unfinished trc.

Yes, *ch1, (trc1, ch1) x 9

Yes, *ch1, (trc1, ch1) x 9 above sc9 of prev.row, sl.st.1 under arch of chs, repeat the pattern starting from *. After last trc goes ch1, then sl.st.1, and ch1* again. Happy crochet!

Hi Sana,

Hi Sana,

Hi anubhuti,

Hi anubhuti,
I would crochet one square for each sleeve (begin each square with one shell). It will be necessary to work increase rows until sides will be wide enough to your upper arm circumference. Happy crochet!
