Part 1 video tutorial

Begin crocheting from the top to bottom.
Make a foundation chain of 141 chs or multiples of 7 chs plus 1 additional ch.
Join it into a ring with the slip stitch.

1st round – [ch5, sk5, sl.st.2] to end

2nd round – sl.st.3, ch3, dc2, sk2, [dc2, Vst1, dc2, sk2] to end; dc3 + hdc1 into 3rd ch

3rd round – ch3, dc1 into sm.ch, dc2 into 1ch, sk2, [dc2 into 1ch, dc1, Vst1 into Vst, dc1, dc2 into 1ch, sk2] to last 3chs; dc2 into 1ch, dc1, dc1 between dc of prev.round and chs + hdc1 into 3rd ch

4th round – ch3, dc1 into sm.ch, dc2, sk2, [dc3, Vst1 into Vst, dc3, sk2] to last 4chs; dc3, dc1 between dc of prev.round and chs + hdc1 into 3rd ch

5, 6, 7 rounds = 4th round

Use a larger size crochet hook to widen the garment.

10, 11, 12 rounds = 9th round

16, 17 rounds = 15th round

Work other rounds like your 15th round using a smaller size crochet hook to about your waistline. After that, use the larger size crochet hook again for about 10 rounds. Then work just one increase round.

Increase round - ch3, dc1 into sm.ch, dc3, dc2 into 1ch, sk2, [dc2 into 1ch, dc4, Vst1 into Vst, dc4, dc2 into 1ch, sk2] to last 5chs; dc2 into 1ch, dc4, dc1 between dc of prev.round and chs + hdc1 into 3rd ch

After the last increase round, crochet rounds using the largest size crochet hook until you reach the desired length of the dress.

Attach the yarn underarms, sl.st.4, dc5, sk2, [dc5, Vst1 into Vst, dc5, sk2] to last 5chs; dc5, sl.sts to end

Hi Latricia Gibson,
I would make a foundation chain of about 183 chs to work 26 repeats. Later on to make the neckline not as wide, I would work single crochets instead of sl.sts decreasing chains. Happy crochet!
