Step 1
Fix a stop bead
Bring a stop bead to the end of your thread (leave about 6 inches to attach the lobster clasp later). Pass the thread back through the stop bead twice to form two loops around the first bead to secure it in place.
Step 2
Beads pattern
String one 5 mm sb, (four 2 mm sb, one 5 mm sb) x 5, one 8 mm pearl bead, [one 5 mm sb, (four 2 mm sb, one 5 mm sb) x 4, one 8 mm pearl bead] to last repeat; one 5 mm sb, (four 2 mm sb, one 5 mm sb) x 5

Step 3
Clasp
String a lobster clasp and bring the needle through the last 5 mm pearl sb and one 2 mm sb. At this point your beads might not be very tight to each other. Reinforce the clasp by bringing the thread through the 5 mm pearl sb and the clasp’s hole, and then back though several beads.
Secure the thread and then cut it closely to beads.
Step 4
Remove the stop bead from the other end of the thread and string a tag with a jump ring.
Fix the tag the same way as your clasp by bringing the needle through the first 5 mm pearl sb and one 2 mm sb. Tighten your thread to have all your beads very close to each other. Then reinforce it through 5 mm pearl sb and the tag’s loop, and then bring the needle back through several beads.
Secure and cut the thread.
