Crochet a scarf – lace stitch for beginners
Step-by-step instructions
Begin crocheting the scarf from the center towards ends.
Step 1
First half of the scarf
Make a foundation chain of 30 chains.
1st row (wrong side) – h4ch, dc1, ch2, sk1, sc1, ch1, sk3, [dc1, (ch2, dc1) x 3] into 1ch, ch1, sk3, sc1, ch3, sk3, sc1, ch1, sk3, [dc1, (ch2, dc1) x 3] into 1ch, ch1, sk3, sc1, ch2, sk1, dec 1 + RC3
2nd row – h4ch, dc1, ch3, sk3, sc1, flower1, sk1, sc1, ch2, sk2, dc1, ch2, sk2, sc1, flower1, sk1, sc1, ch3, sk3, dec*1 + RC3
3rd row – h4ch, dc1, ch2, sc1 under ch of 1st petal, ch1, [dc1, (ch2, dc1) x 3] under ch of 2nd petal, ch1, sc1 under ch of 3rd petal, ch2, sc1 above dc of prev.row, ch2, sc1 under ch of 1st petal, ch1, [dc1, (ch2, dc1) x 3] under ch of 2nd petal, ch1, sc1 under ch of 3rd petal, ch2, dec*1 + RC3
4th row – h4ch, dc1, ch3, sk3, sc1, flower1, sk1, sc1, ch2, sk3, dc1, ch2, sk3, sc1, flower1, sk1, sc1, ch3, sk3, dec*1 + RC3
Alternate 3rd and 4th rows. Work the very last row as 4th row.

You may use any yarn you like. If the yarn you choose will be too thin/fine, then work more repeats to make it wider. Happy crochet!
