How to make homemade pizza


Pizza is one of the most popular foods around the world because of it taste and look. People will never be tired of that dish since it has so many topping and can go with almost everything. Pizza satisfies your hunger for a long time and it is nutritious and delicious dish at the same time. When you prepare pizza yourself it is possible to personalize it the way you want which might be hard to do in a shop. In addition, it will cost you much less to buy necessary ingredients for pizza than to buy already baked one therefore you might find another source of savings.

You don’t need to have any special skills to prepare pizza. You need just a wish to do it and a little bit of patience. Before you start to make dough you need to have tools and the ingredients in front of you. From tools you need to have at least an electric or gas oven, pizza pan (baking sheet or rimless cookie sheet whatever you have), large and small bowls, rolling pin, measuring cups, pizza tray and knife. From ingredients you should have:


- 2 cups* of flour,

- 1/3 cup of milk,

- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil,

- 1 tsp** of salt,

- 1/2 tsp of sugar,

- water,

- 1 package*** of dry yeast.

* 1 cup - 250 milliliters
** 1 tsp - tea spoon (approximately 4.9 ml.)
***1 package - 7g (1/4 OZ)

First of all you need to combine in a cup yeast, sugar, and ¼ cup of slightly warm water. Mix it until dissolved and let it stay for 5-7 minutes or until the yeast is raised.

After the yeast is ready you need to combine it in a big bowl with flour and salt. Separately combine milk, vegetable oil, and water in a small bowl and put it in microwave to make it warm. Make sure that it is not hot because yeast won’t stand high temperatures. You should try the liquid with your finger before putting it into the bowl. If the temperature of the mixture is good enough, you can pour it to the bowl with flour and yeast then mix it very well. Cover the bowl with a lid and let it stay for about 30 minutes or more. Your dough should raise at least twice the previous size.

Second step in preparing pizza is to dump the dough onto the floured surface. You can spread some flour on a very clean kitchen table or countertop. After that you need to punch it down for a couple of minutes, and make a shape of a pizza crust by using a rolling pin. Then transfer the dough to an oiled pizza pan or baking sheet.

Meanwhile you should preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

Third step is to spread some ketchup or barbecue sauce on the pizza dough, put cheese and your favorite toppings on, such as pieces of sausages or meatballs, mushrooms, bacon, onion, pepper, pineapples, olives, etc…

Final step is to put it in the oven. Bake that for 20 to 25 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is melted. After your pizza is ready, you can take it out from the oven and transfer to the pizza tray then cut it to pieces and enjoy your meal!
