How to knit an infinity scarf


Yarn - Bernat Sheep(ish) (color: DARK RED) / medium 4 / 3 oz (85 g) / 167 yards (153 m) / about 1.5 balls needed
Knitting Needles - Circular, Size 7 or other size needles needed for the gauge
Gauge - About 14 stitches go into 4 inches
Scarf Length - 48 inches (before joining the two ends together)
Complexity - Easy

Step-by-step knitting instructions
Step 1
Cast on 32 stitches or multiples of 6 stitches plus 2 additional sts.
Step 2
1st row (right side) – p2, [ k4, p2] to end
2nd row (wrong side) – sk1, k1, [p4, k2] to end
3rd row – sk1, p1, [k4, p2] to end
4th row = 2nd row
5th row – sk1, p1, [crL1, crR1, p2] to end
Repeat the pattern starting from the 2nd row.
Knit the patter for about 48 inches or longer.
Step 3
Cast off all the stitches – [k2tog, slide the st. from the right needle to the left one] to end
Join both ends of the scarf together using a knitting needle, sewing needle, or crochet hook.
Step 4
Cut the yarn and secure it.


crL - cross stitches to the left - slide a knit st from a left knitting needle on an additional needle or pin and place it in the front of your work, knit the following base stitch. Then slide the st from the extra needle to the left one again and knit it.
crR - cross stitches to the right - slide a knit st from a left knitting needle on an extra needle and place it in the back of your work, knit the next base stitch. Slide the st from the additional needle to the left needle again and knit it.
k - knit
k2tog - knit 2 stitches together
p - purl
sk - skip - slide a stitch from the left knitting needle to the right one without knitting it
st - stitch
