Cushion cover crochet pattern – 3d flower motif crochet stitch with two colors combination
Step-by-step crochet instructions
Step 1
Front part
For the front part of the cushion cover, it is necessary to crochet 9 motifs.
First motif
Make a foundation chain of 7 chains using a brown color yarn. Join it into a ring with a slip stitch.
1st round – sc12 into a ring plus sl.st.1 into the 1st ch of the round
2nd round – ch5, sk1, [sc1, ch5, sk1] to end. Attach a different (red) color yarn and work sl.st.1 using the second yarn into the very last chain of the round.
You should have 6 arches of 5 chs.
3rd round – work one petal* into each arch to end
*petal – sc1, hdc1, dc1, trc2, dc1, hdc1, sc1
At the end of the 3rd round, work sl.st.1 grabbing a different (brown) color yarn
4th round – [ch5, sc1 between 2 trcs of a petal under an arch**, ch5, sc1 between 2 petals into ch] to end
**insert the crochet hook from a wrong side of a petal between 2 trcs and under an arch of 5 chs, grab the yarn, and work a sc stitch.
You should have 2 arches behind each petal or 12 arches in total.
At the very end of the 4th round, work sl.st.1 grabbing the second (red) yarn
5th round = 3rd round
6th round – [ch5, sc1 between 2 petals into ch, ch5, corner* 1, ch5, sc1 between 2 petals into ch, ch5, sc1 between 2 petals into ch] to end
*corner – (trc1, ch5, trc1) under an arch between 2 trcs of a petal
You should have 4 corners and 16 arches (4 arches in between each corner).
Cut the yarn and secure it.
Step 2
Second and all other motifs work as the first one. Join them together as you work the last 6th round.
Step 3
Back part
Make a foundation chain of 52 chains using the red yarn (or as many as necessary to crochet about the same size square as the square of 9 motifs).
1st row (right side) – insert hook into 2nd ch from the hook, dc to end plus RC3
You should have 48 dc stitches.
2nd and all other rows = 1st row
Work 30 dc rows or as many as you’ll need.
Step 4
Join the square of 9 motifs and dc square. Insert a cushion inside of the cover before joining the very last side.
