Step-by-step crochet instructions
Step 1
Make a foundation chain of 200 chain stitches plus 1 returning chain.
Step 2
1st round – (right side) – slip stitch* 200 and chain 1
You should be at the beginning of your foundation chain where your starting point is.
*slip stitch (sl.st.) – insert a crochet hook into the second chain from your hook, grab the yarn, and pull it through the chain. You should have 2 chains on your hook. Then pull the 2nd stitch on your hook through the first one. You must have 1 remaining st. on the hook.
After that, do not turn your work to the wrong side. Just proceed crocheting the 1st round using bottom loops of the foundation chain.
1st round continue – (right side) – sl.st. to end
Step 3
Cut the yarn and secure it.
Step 4
Make a flower
Create a foundation chain of 5 chain sts and work sl.st. 1 to join first and last chains into a ring.
Work single crochet (sc) in round increasing** chains about every 2 stitches for few rounds. At the end work 1 slip stitch.
**To increase a number of chains, just work 2 single crochet in 1 chain.
For the last round, work *2 chains, sl.st. 1 in the same base stitch, sc 1. Repeat from * to end of the round plus sl.st. 1.
Cut the yarn and secure it from the inside of the flower.
Step 5
Crochet the flower to one end of the belt.
Step 6
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other end of the belt.
