Step-by-step crochet instructions
Stitches - single crochet stitch* and half double crochet stitch**.
Step 1
Create a foundation chain of 9 chain stitches.
Step 2
1st row – single crochet* to end plus 1 returning chain (rc)
*single crochet (sc) – to make 1 sc, you need to insert a crochet hook into a second chain from your hook, grab the yarn and pull it through creating second stitch on the crochet hook. After that it is necessary to wrap the yarn over the hook (yo) again and pull it through the 2 stitches that lie on your hook.
Step 3
2nd row – half double crochet 2**, skip 1, hdc 4 in the 5th stitch from the hook, make 3 chain stitches, hdc 4 in the same st., skip 1, hdc 2 and 1 rc
**half double crochet (hdc) – to make 1 hdc, you need to do yarn over, insert the crochet hook into a stitch, and pull the yarn through the stitch making 3 stitches on your hook. Then repeat yarn over again and pull it through those 3 sts that lie on the hook.
3rd row – hdc 2, hdc 4 on the chain of 3 chain sts, create 3 chains, hdc 4 on the same chain of 3 ch. sts, skip 3, hdc2 and 1 rc
Step 4
Crochet all other rows as 3rd one.
When you crochet the desired length of the belt, cut the yarn and secure it.
Step 5
