Payment due date

The first payment’s due date for our 2016 Toyota Camry is approaching. We have to make a payment in about 1.5 months, 44 days to be precise, from the day of the purchase. There are still couple weeks left, but I already issued a payment for the vehicle and tested how the car payment processed from my Toyota Financial Services online account.

Adding a new biller

From my online banking, I added a new external biller – Toyota Financial Services. Very simple task and because of a relationship between two financial institutions the only thing I provided was an account number as appeared on Toyota’s billing statement (TFS account). On the other side, at Toyota Financial I can review received payments, and total balance on the account.
After first payment was made, I already see a second amount due for the next month with last payment received for the current month. If fact, it’s still 1.5 months to the next payment due date, and the bill for that month wasn’t even mailed or issued (I assume), but there is already next payment amount shown in My Account Overview.
I also see total amount of payments applied to interest, which is $0 in my case, because the 2016 Toyota Camry financed at 0% APR, and total amount of payments applied to the principal balance – the whole payment applied to principal balance. There are also Misc. Fees, which I believe charges for late payments – it’s $0.00 for now.
There is also a note which states that it can take up to three business days from the date a credit or debit is posted to your account for that transaction to appear in your Account History.

And we keep paper bill option

Just not to forget… I didn’t opt for paperless bills, and prefer “to keep the mess”. And seriously – bill in the mail will always remind me about the payment. E-mailed bill I will forget the very next day, or even won’t see at all in between all junk send to my e-mail address.
Anyway, first payment was made and processed, looking forward for the next 59 left. But the most important thing is the car is still running…
