To crochet the mask, make a foundation chain of 40 chs or any other number of chs.

Main part
1st row – insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, sc to end + rc1
2nd row – insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, sc5, hdc to last 5chs; sc5 + rc1
Repeat the pattern starting from the 1st row. Crochet about 23 rows or as many as necessary.

Sides
After last sc row, chain two to pick up the height, dc1, [ch1, skip some space between rows, dc2] to end.
Work slip stitches to the other side, chain two to pick up the height, dc1, [ch1, skip some space between rows, dc2] to end.

Stripes
Slip stitch to your half double crochet stitches, and then *chain 18. Join the 18 chs with a row before last one with slip stitch. Single crochet back reinforcing the very first and last chains. Slip stitch one. Repeat from * to make the second stripe.
Crochet two more stripes on the other side of the mask.

Tie
Make a foundation chain of about 152 chs, then single crochet back. Insert the tie between double crochets on both sides. Insert a cotton fabric between stripes (just like a belt) for more protection.

The mask should be washed after each use.
Stay healthy.
