Step-by-step instructions
Step 1
Stop bead
Fix a stop bead to keep beads in place when starting your beadwork. Bring the stop bead down to the end, leaving about 4 inches or more for your tail. Pass the thread back through the seed bead twice, forming two loops around the stop bead to secure the bead in place.
Step 2
Beads pattern
String one seed bead and 2 drop beads. Then alternate 1 seed bead and 2 drop beads to end. At the end string one seed bead and lobster clasp. Reinforce the lobster clasp hole by passing the thread through the last seed bead and then through the clasp hole.
Step 3
Bring the needle through all beads back to your stop bead. Now you should have 2 thread tails from the beginning of your beadwork.
Step 4
String the tag. Remove the stop bead. Pull the other tail out of the last seed bead. Reinforce the tag loop. Bring the needle through the seed bead. Tie both tails of the thread.
Step 5
Bring each tail separately through about 6 beads. Pull both tails to hide the knot. Cut the thread very closely to a bead.
