New Toyota plug-in hybrid midsize two-row crossover utility vehicle (CUV) have three trims. MSRP for the cheapest LE model starts from $32,470, midgrade XLE cost $36,000 and Limited edition priced at $39,800 with additional $1,175 processing and handling fee for any trim.

2021 Toyota Venza powered by the new generation of hybrid system including high-efficient 2.5L DOHC 4-cyl engine with three electric motors. The combination of reengineered combustion engine and hybrid electric drive allows the vehicle to reach 219 horsepower with 39 miles per gallon combine fuel economy. It is super-efficient number when comes for front-wheel drive sedans not to mention AWD SUVs. All three trims equipped with standard Toyota’s Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive. It is highly efficient system which allows instead of using a transfer case and driveshaft to the rear wheels, employs a separate rear-mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels when needed. It distributes 80 percent of driving force to the rear wheels which helps suppress front wheel slip during off-the-line starts. The system also enhances cornering agility by helping to reduce understeer.

The power system in 2021 Venza is very compact where gas engine employs Variable Valve Timing-intelligent system by Electric motor (VVT-iE) on the intake camshaft, and VVT-i on the exhaust camshaft. A variable cooling system (electric water pump, electric thermostat) and a fully variable oil pump further help improve engine efficiency. The hybrid system of a new CUV features newly-developed lithium-ion battery to enhance performance and size and weight. Three selectable driving modes NORMAL, ECO and SPORT let the driver choose the vehicle performance personality. Additionally, EV mode allows electric-only driving at low speeds for short distances.

2021 Toyota Venza built on a new TNGA-K platform with expectation to achieve top safety ratings and feature standard Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0), a comprehensive suite of active safety systems that includes: Pre-Collision System with Daytime/Low-Light Vehicle and Pedestrian Detection, plus Daytime Bicycle Detection (PCS), Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Automatic High Beams (AHB), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Road Sign Assist (RSA).
