2021 New Mercedes-Benz S-Class overview

New Mercedes-Benz S500 4Matic powered by 429 hp, 3.0L 6-cyl engine. S580 model equipped with 4.0L V8 Biturbo wich generates 496 hp. Both vehicles have 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and able to increase power by 21 hp. and additional 184 lb-ft of torque with EQ Boost. New S-Class feature integrated starter-generator (ISG) and 48-volt onboard electrical system. Top speed of a new sedan electronically limited to 130 mph. Mercedes implemented rear axle steering with 10 degrees maximum steering angle for its new luxury sedan. It allows to reduce turning circle to 6.2 feet. Full size sedan has 19 cu ft. trunk capacity.

S class sedan has 9.4 in x 8.6 in, OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) central display and has an active screen diagonal of 12.8 inches. The driver display is 11.5 in x 4.3 in and has a diagonal of 12.3 inches. The overall interior of a new generation of Mercedes-Benz S-Class is very modern. The vehicle features new frontal airbags for rear passengers. High level of crash safety, collision avoidance technology in addition to smart active and passive safety features make bring new vehicle on top in term of overall safety performance.

Premium sedan future greatly improved climate control system. Front passenger seat comfort is maintaining by up to 19 motors (8 for adjustments, 4 for massage and 5 for ventilation, one for the lumbar support and one to move the monitor when in reverse). Temperature and air distribution in the THERMOTRONIC system controls by 17-step motor. The 4-zone climate control THERMOTRONIC Rear even has 20 step motors. These electric motors operate the air flaps. Mercedes greatly extended infotainment functions for the occupants in the rear seats.

Luxury vehicle is able to update over 50 electronic components with new software through mobile data connections. It allows most of the vital systems stay up-do-date over the years. It eliminates the need of new components to be installed or replaced and the vehicle stays new even if new features become available after manufacturing process.
