New Jeep plug-in hybrid SUV powered by 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylider engine. Additionally vehicle equipped with two electric motors and 400-volt, 17-kWh, 96-cell lithium-ion, nickel manganese battery pack. 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe powertrain generates 375 hp. (280 kw) of power and 470 fb.-ft. of torque. New SUV feature 8-speed automatic transmission and rated at 50 MPG fuel economy. Five-passenger sport utility vehicle has 10.1 in. ground clearance on Sahara model and 10.8 in. on Rubicon trims and able to tow up to 3,500 lbs trailer.
Off-road performance SUV has tree drive modes. Hybrid – this is default and use power of the battery first with torque blending from gas and electric motors. At the end of battery life combustion engine kicks in. Electric – which engage sole battery to power the vehicle until minimum charge or more torque requested by driver. eSave – when vehicle operates using 2.0L gasoline engine with an option to choose between battery save or battery charge during this drive. 2021 Jeep Wrangler is able to go 25 miles utilizing energy from the battery only.
