2nd row (wrong side) – h5ch, dc1, [ch2, sk2, dc2] to last 3 chs; ch2, sk2, dc1 + RC3
3rd row – dc2 under arch of 2 chs, [ch2, dc2 under arch of 2 chs] to last 2 chs; ch1, sk1, dc1 + RC3
4th row – h5ch, dc72 + RC3
5th row – h5ch, dc72 + RC4
6th row – h7ch, dc1, [ch1, sk1, dc1] to end + RC3
7th row – h7ch, dc1, ch3, dc4 under dc, sk2, [dc1, sk2, dc1, ch3, dc4 under dc, sk2] to last 1 ch; dc1 + RC5
8th row – sc1 under 3chs of prev.row, ch2, [dc1 above dc of prev.row, ch2, sc1 under 3chs of prev.row, ch2] to last 1 ch; dc1 + RC4

10th row = 4th row

First front shoulder part

11th row – h5ch, dc18 + RC3

13th row = 3rd row
14th row = 4th row
15th row = 5th row

Second front shoulder part

Attach the yarn 18 chs before the end of the 10th row.
11th row – ch3, dc18 + RC3

Back part

Crochet 14 long rows for the back part. Work the first 10 rows of the back part the same as the first 10 rows of the front part.

16th row – h7ch, dc1, [ch1, sk1, dc1] to end
Join front and back shoulder parts as you work the 16th row for the front shoulder part.

Sleeves

Make a foundation chain of 61 chs or multiples of 6 chs plus 1 additional ch to work 10 repeats using a smaller size crochet hook. Work rounds as you did for the body. After you crochet several rounds, continue crocheting the 10 rounds of the pattern using a larger size crochet hook to widen the garment.
21st round – ch3, dc14, [dc2 into 1ch, dc14] to end + sl.st.1 into 3rd ch.
Join sleeves into the garment as you work your last round as the 2nd body round.

Hi Sana, I know that 6 & 7

Hi Sana, I know that 6 & 7 are dc1, but my question is since my foundation chains was 181 from the beginning so I should get 181 dc1 on both row 6 & 7 right? Pls. advise. Thanks.

Hi Luz,

Hi Luz,
For rows 6 and 7 you should have 179 double crochets or multiples of 4 dc plus 3 additional double crochets. How many dc do you have?

Hi Sana,I counted and I have

Hi Sana,I counted and I have 179 but I thought I'm suppose to have 181 chains since I started with a foundation chains of 181, but that's good that I have 179. Thanks.

Hi Sana, Here's my sleeveless

Hi Sana, Here's my sleeveless sweater, As you can see in the picture, I miscalculated the back part , my armhole is not even but i would like to add a short sleeve, but I don't know how to start, I just sc the armhole . What do you think? I love the pattern.

Hi Sana,

Hi Sana,
I have to frag the back part because it does not look right, but I tried it on and it look like it's a little bit tight on the armhole. I skipped like 4 chains on the armhole so I'm not sure if I'm doing right. Pls. advise. Thanks.

Hi Luz,

Hi Luz,
I would also skip 4 chs (2 chs under each arm). Wrap the garment around your upper arm to estimate how many repeats it is necessary to work for each sleeve. Finish crocheting sleeves using a larger size crochet hook to widen the garment. Happy crochet!

Hi Sana, I want to add a

Hi Sana, I want to add a sleeves and I measured with a tape measure and measured 22 inches around. I'm not sure what you meant on "wrap the garment around my upper arm". I don't want to crochet sleeve seperately because I might have extra stitches when I attach the sleeves. Is it possible to just continue the sleeve from the garment? Pls. advise. Thanks.

Hi Luz,

Hi Luz,
If you estimate how many repeats to work for each sleeve, you may attach the yarn, ch3 to pick up the height, and then work multiples of 6 double crochets plus 5 additional double crochets (dc6 is one repeat) on the edge of each armhole. After that continue crocheting rounds as you did for the body. Depending on your sleeve length, you may need to adjust your gauge using a smaller size crochet hook/hooks. Happy crochet!
