Step-by-step knitting instructions
Step 1
Ribbing
Cast on 35 stitches or multiples of 5 sts. Distribute the stitches to 3 double pointed needles. Begin to knit in the round.
1st round – [p2, k3] to end
2nd round = 1st round
3rd round – [p2, LL1*] to end
*LL – long loop – insert a right working needle between 3rd and 4th stitches (or between a knit and purl sts), grab the yarn, and draw the long loop through. With the LL on the working needle, insert it into the first stitch, knit the stitch, and pull the loop through the LL. Then knit two following stitches.
4 – 7 rounds = 1st round
Repeat the pattern starting from the 3rd round.
8, 13, 18, 23 rounds = 3rd round
9 – 12, 14 – 17, 19 – 22, 24 rounds = 1st round
Step 2
Main part (hand)
25th round – inc1, k to end
You should have 36 sts in total. Distribute sts to 4 dpn to have 9 sts on each needle.
26 - 27 rounds – k to end
28th round – k18, [k3, LL1] x 3
29 – 32 rounds – k to end
33rd round – k18, [LL1, k3] x 3
34 – 37 rounds – k to end
38th round = 28th round
Step 3
Thumb hole
39th round (right glove) – slide 5 sts on a safety pin or a piece of yarn, crease 5 sts, and k all other sts to end
39th round (left glove) – k13, slide 5 sts on a safety pin, crease 5 sts, and k all other sts to end
Step 4
Main part (continue)
40 – 42 rounds – k to end
43rd round = 33rd round
44 – 47 rounds = k to end
48th round = 28th round
49th round – k to end
Step 5
Fingers
Pinky finger
Attach the yarn to the base loop of the 14th stitch from the starting point (right glove), increase one stitch, k8. Then knit in the round the 9 sts for about 16 rounds and then decrease all the stitches (k2tog and at the very end k3tog).
Left glove – k4, inc1, then knit the last 4 sts of the round. Knit the 9 sts for 16 rounds and decrease all the sts.
Ring finger
Use following 8 sts, attach the yarn, inc1, k4, pick up 2 sts from the pinky finger side (in order not to develop a hole), k4. Begin to knit in the round, k5, dec1, k4. Then knit the 10 sts for about 21 rounds and decrease all the sts.
Middle finger
Use next 10 sts, attach the yarn, k5, pick up 2 sts from the ring finger side, k5. Begin knitting in the round, k5, dec1, k5. Then knit the 11 sts for about 23 rounds and decrease sts.
Pointer finger
Use last 10 sts, k5, pick up 2 sts from the middle finger side, k5. Continue knitting in the round, k5, dec1, k5. After that, knit the 11 sts for about 20 rounds and decrease sts.
Step 6
Thumb finger
Slide from the safety pin the 5 sts onto a dpn and pick up 7 sts. Then knit the 12 sts in the round for about 16 rounds and decrease all the sts.

This will be my first knitted

This will be my first knitted gloves using 3 needles. I hope I am allowed to save the video. Without the video, this is going to be a big challenge for me.
