Baby hat knitting pattern with crochet flowers

Knitting instructions

Step 1

Cast on 72 sts or multiples of 9 sts on two knitting needles to make the first loops bigger.
Remove one needle.
Stretch out sts from one point to another.

Step 2

1st round – k to end
Knit in the round until you knit about 30 rounds or more.

Step 3

Decrease

31st round – [k2tog, k7] to end
32nd round = 1st round
33rd round – [k2tog, k6] to end
34th round = 1st round
35th round – [k2tog, k5] to end
36th round = 1st round
Switch to double pointed needles for more convenient knitting.
37th round – [k2tog, k4] to end
38th round = 1st round
39th round – [k2tog, k3] to end
40th round = 1st round
41st round – [k2tog, k2] to end
42nd round = 1st round
43rd round – [k2tog, k1] to end
44th round – k2tog to end until you cover up the hole
Cut the yarn and secure it on a wrong side of the garment.

Step 4

Crochet a flower

Make a foundation chain of 6 chs. Join it into a ring with the sl.st.
1st round – ch2, sc11 into a ring + sl.st.1 into 2nd ch
2nd round – ch4, [dc1, ch1] to end + sl.st.1 into 3rd ch
3rd round – [ch4, sk1, sl.st.1] to end
4th round – [sl.st.1 under ch of 2nd round*, ch5] to end, sl.st.1 into 1st ch
* work sl.st.1 under ch of the 2nd round right below the very first arch of 4chs of the 3rd round.
Cut the yarn and secure it.

Step 5

Finish up

Attach 2 flowers on the hat and work sl.sts to make curvy lines.
