Step-by-step crochet instructions
Step 1
Make a foundation chain of 32 chains. I count all the loops including the loop on a hook.
Ribbing
1st row – h4ch, dc to end plus RC3
2nd row – fpdc1, [bpdc1, fpdc1] to end; dc1 under chains + RC3
3rd row – bpdc1, [fpdc1, bpdc1] to end; dc1 under RC of the prev. row + RC3
4th row = 2nd row
5th row = 3rd row
Step 2
6th row – fpdc3, [bpdc3, fpdc3] to end; dc1 under RC of the prev. row + RC3
7th row – bpdc3, [fpdc3, bpdc3] to end; dc1 under RC of the prev. row + RC3
8th row = 7th row
9th row = 6th row
Repeat the pattern staring from the 6th row until you crochet the desired length of the scarf.
Step 3
Ribbing
Alternate the 2nd and 3rd rows for 5 rows. Cut the yarn and secure it.
