Knitting Needles - Circular 29" Size 5 (3.75 mm), circular 16" Size 5 (3.75 mm), and double pointed US 3 (3.25 mm) or other size needles needed for the gauge
Gauge - About 16 stitches go into 4 inches

Women’s long-sleeve sweater knitting pattern
Step-by-step knitting instructions
Step 1
Begin to knit the body of the sweater from the bottom up.
Cast on 120 stitches or multiples of 2 sts. Make sure that the loops are not twisted and begin to knit in the round.
Step 2
Border pattern
1st round – k to end
2nd round – [k2tog, yo] to end
3, 5, 7, 9, 11 rounds = 1st round
4, 6, 8, 10 rounds = 2nd round
Step 3
Increase stitches to have multiples of 14 sts
12th round – [k20, yo] to end. You should have 126 sts or multiples of 14 sts (9 repeats).
13th round = 1st round
Step 4
Triangles pattern
14th round – [k2tog(L), (p2, k2) x 3, yo] to end
15th round and all odd rounds – knit all k & yo stitches, purl all p sts
16th round – [k2tog(L), p1, (k2, p2) x 2, k2, yo, k1] to end
18th round – [k2tog(L), (k2, p2) x 2, k2, yo, k2] to end
20th round – [k2tog(L), k1, (p2, k2) x 2, yo, k3] to end

Step 5
Front part
Slide one stitch from the right needle to the left one and then slide 63 sts on other circular needle.
1st row (right side) – sl.st.1, [yo, (k2, p2) x 3, k2tog(R)] to last 6 sts; k6
2nd row (wrong side) – bind off 5 sts, purl all p & yo sts and knit all k sts
You should have 58 sts left.
3rd row – sl.st.1, [k1, yo, (k2, p2) x 2, k2, p1, k2tog(R)] to last 1 st; k1
4th row and all even rows - purl all p & yo sts and knit all k sts
5th row – sl.st.1, [k2, yo, (k2, p2) x 2, k2, k2tog(R)] to last 1 st; k1

Repeat the pattern starting from the 27th row.
Step 9
First back shoulder piece
Use 10 sts
37th row = 27th row
38th row = 28th row
Cast off the 10 sts and join it with the front part.
Step 10
Second back shoulder piece
Cast off sts of the back part to last 10 sts and repeat step 9.
Step 11
Sleeves
Cast on 30 sts or multiples of 2 sts and repeat step 2. Use double pointed needles.
Increase 12 sts to have 42 sts or multiples of 14 sts. Repeat triangle pattern (step 4) twice using circular needles. Before joining sleeves into the garment, increase 4 more sts. Then sew or use a crochet hook to join the sleeves into the garment from the wrong side.
