Step 3
Front part
Attach the yarn where your corner is above 1st dc of inc
1 – 10 rows of the front part = 1 – 10 rows of the back part.
Step 4
Join back and front parts together
Work with the yarn of the back part and continue crocheting the 11th row of the front part just like 11th row of the back part. That way you join the two pieces from one side.
At the end of the 11th row (front part), work sl.st.1
Step 5
Body
1st round – ch3, dc1 between 2 inc., ch2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between trcs, ch2, [(inc1 into inc, ch2) x 7, dc2 between trcs, ch2] x 2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between 2 inc, ch2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between trcs, ch2, [(inc1 into inc, ch2) x 7, dc2 between trcs, ch2] x 2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3 + sl.st.1
Use a smaller size crochet hook
2nd round – ch3, dc1 into inc, ch2, [inc1 into inc, ch2] to end + sl.st.1
3rd and all other rounds work as 2nd round until you crochet to about your waist line. Then crochet other rounds as 2nd round until you reach the desired length of the blouse, using a larger size crochet hook.
One round before the very last round, work similar to the 2nd round, but work dc2 instead of ch2 or
- ch3, dc1 into inc, dc2, [inc1 into inc, dc2] to end + sl.st.1
Work sc to end for the very last round.
Step 6
Edges
Sc to end around your armholes and neckline using a smaller size crochet hook.

Hi

Hi
I'm Nanske from Belgium
I have a FB group and my members asked me if I would translate your wonderful pineapple stitch top into Dutch

Can I please have your permission ??
I will put the link to your webpage or blog on it or I give you the translation and put the link to it on my group
Greetings and Blessings
NanskePanske

Hi Nanske,

Hi Nanske,
You may translate the pattern, but post on this site. Then, you can make a link to your FB page. I've designed this pattern myself and put a lot of hard word to it. That's why I want everything to stay on this site. I cannot give my permission to post a copy of my work (in any form) somewhere else other than this site. If you decide to upload your translations on this site, please go My account/Track/Create content/Translation Patterns. You may visit these pages to see how other crocheters translated my patterns http://interunet.com/how-to-crochet-a-slouchy-hat-in-japanese and http://interunet.com/تريكو-كنزة-طفل-صغير

No problem ... at the moment

No problem ... at the moment I'm busy with a few other translations , but when I finished yours I wil send you the pdf you can use
If you send me the link to it I will share this with my members

Hi Nanske,

Hi Nanske,
As a registered user you may create your content (page/pages) on this site. When you decide to upload the translation, I'll guide you how to do it. If you create the content yourself, it will be your page and you'll have access to it. Once the page will be created, the link can be shared anywhere you want to.

Hi there ,

Hi there ,
Thanks for posting this pattern and doing the tutorial on Youtube. I am following along and really enjoying the way the top is taking shape. I have been crocheting for about 6 years now so I consider myself to be an advanced beginner I suppose and I think that the top is going to be lovely. I am doing it with a metallic 4 weight yarn and a size 5 hook so it will be a bit bigger than a size medium I am assuming which will fit nicely. I intend to go back and do this pattern again in a fine 2 cotton yarn to make a small size for my sister. Hopefully I am skilled enough to make the top look as lovely as yours. LOL
Thank you very much for all your hard work and careful instruction.

I would like to make your

I would like to make your Pineapple Top. However, I am a 2XX, 50" chest. Are you able to increase the directions to accommodate my size. I sure would appreciate your efforts if you could. Thank you!

Hi eureka,

Hi eureka,
To adjust the pattern to your size, I would add one repeat/pineapple (23 chs) to each front and back parts. I'll recalculate the top part and write you my suggested number of chains to start with.
