Part 2 video tutorial
After you crochet 36 rounds, begin crocheting rows for the front part using half of your total number of chs.
Front part
1st row (write side) – ch3, dc72 + RC3
2nd row (wrong side) – h5ch, dc1, [ch2, sk2, dc2] to last 3 chs; ch2, sk2, dc1 + RC3
3rd row – dc2 under arch of 2 chs, [ch2, dc2 under arch of 2 chs] to last 2 chs; ch1, sk1, dc1 + RC3
4th row – h5ch, dc72 + RC3
5th row – h5ch, dc72 + RC4
6th row – h7ch, dc1, [ch1, sk1, dc1] to end + RC3
7th row – h7ch, dc1, ch3, dc4 under dc, sk2, [dc1, sk2, dc1, ch3, dc4 under dc, sk2] to last 1 ch; dc1 + RC5
8th row – sc1 under 3chs of prev.row, ch2, [dc1 above dc of prev.row, ch2, sc1 under 3chs of prev.row, ch2] to last 1 ch; dc1 + RC4
9th row = 6th row
10th row = 4th row
First front shoulder part
11th row – h5ch, dc18 + RC3
12th row – h5ch, dc1, [ch2, sk2, dc2] to last 1 ch; dc1 + RC5
13th row = 3rd row
14th row = 4th row
15th row = 5th row
Second front shoulder part
Attach the yarn 18 chs before the end of the 10th row.
11th row – ch3, dc18 + RC3
12th row – h5ch, dc1, [ch2, sk2, dc2] to last 1 ch; dc1 + RC5
13th row = 3rd row
14th row = 4th row
15th row = 5th row
Back part
Crochet 14 long rows for the back part. Work the first 10 rows of the back part the same as the first 10 rows of the front part.
11th row = 4th row
12th row = 2nd row
13th row = 3rd row
14th row = 4th row
First back shoulder part
15th row – h5ch, dc18 + RC3
16th row – h7ch, dc1, [ch1, sk1, dc1] to end
Second back shoulder part
Attach the yarn 18 chs before the end of the 14th row.
15th row – ch3, dc18 + RC3
16th row – h7ch, dc1, [ch1, sk1, dc1] to end
Join front and back shoulder parts as you work the 16th row for the front shoulder part.
Sleeves
Make a foundation chain of 61 chs or multiples of 6 chs plus 1 additional ch to work 10 repeats using a smaller size crochet hook. Work rounds as you did for the body. After you crochet several rounds, continue crocheting the 10 rounds of the pattern using a larger size crochet hook to widen the garment.
21st round – ch3, dc14, [dc2 into 1ch, dc14] to end + sl.st.1 into 3rd ch.
Join sleeves into the garment as you work your last round as the 2nd body round.
Bottom and sleeve edges
1st round = 3rd round (body)
2nd round – sc to end
Neckline
Sc to end

Thank you for your prompt
Thank you for your prompt response. Must the number of stitches at the top of the sleeve be equal to the number of stitches around the armhole? Thank you

Hi,
Hi,
May I know what you mean by 15 repeats? Is it 15 rows? Thank you. I am trying to crochet a Large size...

Hi szling,
Hi szling,
Please be more specific when you ask a question. That way it will be easier for me to answer the question. Write me what minute of the video you are talking about or give some other details. Thank you.

Hi,
Hi,
Sorry for not being clear... I was looking at your reply to Narinder where you mentioned that to work " 15 repeats for each front and back..."
I try to be clear....I am trying to make a L size.. How many rows do I need for the Front parts and shoulder parts of the sweater. In your video, you mention do 10 rows for the front part.. is that for L size too..Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

Hi szling,
Hi szling,
One repeat is 6 chs. So, 6 x 15 = 90 chs.
The number of rows depends on your row height and preferences how the sweater should fit you. You may add one or two rows to each front and front shoulder part as necessary. Happy crochet!

Hi k1533,
Hi k1533,
For the size L (40" chest circumference), make a foundation chain of 169 chs. Follow the pattern to the shoulder pieces, and then work 4 repeats instead of 3. Happy crochet!

Hi Sana, I have a question on 6 & 7 rounds, I counted and I don't get the same chains on 1st round. Is it suppose to be the same count on first roound? Pls. advise. Thanks.

Rounds 6 and 7 are dc rounds.
Rounds 6 and 7 are dc rounds. Round 6 - work dc1 above each dc of previous round and dc1 above each chain of previous round. Round 7 - work dc1 above each dc of previous round. Happy crochet!
