Hi pdkhar,

Hi pdkhar,
It is necessary to crochet front and back parts together as one piece up to the armholes point. Then you will work the front and back parts separately to make openings for each sleeve. Happy crochet!

amazing tutorial! Before I

amazing tutorial! Before I start making this beautiful cardigan I want to determine the size and I've a basic question here! what does checking the gauge mean? Is it measuring the size and comparing it with the gauge size ? For eg, my bust size is 36, in this case which would be the appropriate size?

Hi Nita Nelson,

Hi Nita Nelson,
To check your gauge, it is necessary to make a foundation chain of about 21 chs (16 + 5) and work step 1. After that, measure how wide your repeat is. If your repeat will be about 4.5 inches, then you can follow the pattern exactly. If not, you may adjust your gauge by using a larger size crochet hook or/and thicker yarn. Happy crochet!

Hi Sana. Sinde I'm quite new

Hi Sana. Sinde I'm quite new to crochet parternes would you please tell med how many foundation chains I have to make to get a medium size? And should I make any other alterations?
Thank you for some really beautiful designs and great tutorials.
Laura

Hi Laura,

Hi Laura,
I would suggest you to adjust your gauge by using a larger size crochet hook and/or slightly thicker yarn. To get your size your one repeat should be about 4.7 inches (gauge). To work one repeat make a foundation chain of 21 chs, and then repeat the 2 rows of the pattern few times. Happy crochet!

How beautiful, vinuta1212.

How beautiful, vinuta1212. Congratulations! I love your work and the yarn color you've chosen. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it.

1) Could you explain me about

1) Could you explain me about what's the meaning of "133 chs or multiples of 16 chs plus 5 additional chs."
I understand 133 chanin. I'm not quite clear about "multiples of 16 chs plus 5 additional chs"
2) Could you provide detail Step by Step Crochet Instruction for XL size, please, if possible?

Hi stmsgbox,

Hi stmsgbox,
One multiple equals one repeat/ [ ]. The number of chs inside a bracket/ [ ] is one repeat/multiple. 133 chs = (8 repeats x 16 chs) + 5 chs.
My suggestion how to adjust the pattern to the size XL you may find on the first comment page. Happy crochet!
